Planting seeded cards

Made By Shannon

Our plantable greeting cards and envelopes are embedded with a variety of British wildflower seeds. The handmade paper is made from recycled paper pulp and when planted will compost leaving only the wildflowers. Our cards are also printed in-house to order to prevent any excess waste.

The wildflower cards contain a mix of; Birdsfoot Trefoil, Black Knapweed, Black Medick, Meadow Buttercup, Musk Mallow, Ox-Eye Daisy, Ribwort Plantain, Red Campion, Salad Burnet, Self Heal, White Campion and Yarrow.

What you will need: Your seeded card / envelope, seedling soil, a pot or a sunny place in the garden to plant, water

Store in a cool, dry place to preserve germination rate & plant within 2 years.

It is best to plant in spring for summer flowering but can be grown indoors in a bright spot year round. Autumn planting outside will give the advantage of winter rain and offer early spring blooms.

(Remove sticky seal on seeded envelopes)

1. Hold the paper under running water to give it a good soak.

2. Place the paper on top of a pot of compost (the paper can be torn into smaller pieces if necessary).

3. Cover with a thin layer of compost and press down.

4. Water (Aim for damp, not flooded).

5. Place somewhere warm and light to germinate. Do not let the paper dry out. Water well for at least 4-6 weeks. Once you have seedlings of a decent size, transfer to a bigger pot and grow on or transplant to an outdoor area.
